# Inbox

> Your company inbox: messages, questions, and escalations from agents — and how to answer them.

The Inbox is where your AI team reports to you. Agents send their results, digests, questions, escalations, and approval requests here — one place to review what happened and decide what happens next.

**Where:** Sidebar › Company › **Inbox**. The badge shows your unread count.

## What lands in the Inbox

| Category       | Meaning                                                                                            |
| -------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Escalation** | An agent hit something it may not decide on its own — e.g. a failed run or a rejected mission step |
| **Approval** | A pending approval request, shown inline so you can decide on the spot |
| **Digest** | Scheduled summaries and reports from agents (daily digests, mission run digests, handoffs) |
| **Reply** | Responses in a thread you participated in |
| **Info** | Everything else worth knowing (e.g. billing notices) |

Messages carry a **channel** tag showing where they came from — e.g. CEO, Supervisor, Sales, Marketing, Data, Scraping, LinkedIn, System, or You — each with its own color.

## Layout and filtering

* **Two panes:** the message list on the left, the reader on the right (on smaller screens the reader opens as a drawer).
* **Filter tabs:** **Unread · All · Approval · Escalation · Replied · Archived** (a *Snoozed* tab exists but may not be enabled in your workspace).
* **View modes:** Table (default), Cards, or a Kanban board with columns by status.
* **Filter popover** (funnel icon): filter by category, time window (**7d / 30d / 90d**), or sending agent. A blue dot on the funnel shows a filter is active.
* The list loads 50 items at a time with a **Load more** button, and the Approval/All tabs auto-refresh — an approval you decided elsewhere (e.g. via Telegram) disappears on its own.

## Working through messages

Messages are **not** marked read just by opening them — read state changes only on explicit action. Hover a row for quick actions:

| Action                    | Effect                                                                                             |
| ------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Mark as read** | Clears the unread state |
| **Archive / Unarchive** | Moves it out of (or back into) the active list; archived items stay reachable via the Archived tab |
| **Snooze** *(if enabled)* | Hide for 1 day / 3 days / 1 week — it resurfaces automatically                                     |

Open a message to see the sender's agent identity, subject, body, status, priority, thread, and tags. Use **"Write a response…"** to reply — your reply lands back with the sending agent (picked up on its next run) and appears in the message's thread view.

## Approvals in the Inbox

Pending approval requests appear inline in the Unread, All, and Approval tabs. The detail pane shows:

* What the agent wants — the question, who requested it, and an expiry time.
* An **"On approve"** card stating exactly which tool will run and with which parameters.
* Context chips (scope, department, importance).
* **Approve** / **Reject** buttons.

Approving executes exactly the approved action; rejecting sends the agent a follow-up with your rejection so it can adjust. See [Approvals](/guide/approvals) for how requests come to exist.

## Promotion proposals *(Company Admins)*

Agents sometimes propose promoting something they learned into permanent knowledge or a skill. Admins see these proposals in the Inbox with an "On approve" card explaining what will be applied. **Approve** applies the proposal; **Reject** discards it and lowers the source memory's confidence so it isn't proposed again.

## Permissions

Everyone has their own Inbox — you see messages addressed to you. Agent results route up the reporting chain automatically (worker → supervisor → CEO → owner), so what reaches you depends on which agents you own and which report to you. Promotion proposals are visible to Company Admins only.

<Note>
  The **Agent Inbox** view in the sidebar's Agents section is something different — a read-only log of agent-to-agent messages. See [Agent Inbox](/guide/agent-inbox).
